Its children's services comprise specialist education, specialist residential care, foster care, and specialist mental health services.


The school:

Cambian Wisbech School in an independent, DfE-registered, co-educational day school, providing specialist education for up to 40 students, aged 7-17 years.

Job Role:


The successful teaching assistant would work as part of a team under the direction of a qualified teacher, assisting students to access a broad curriculum.

You will need to have good organisational and communication skills and be able to work flexibly in relation to tasks undertaken.


As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students in lessons
  • Support the tutor group in Tutor times,
  • Support students during on and offsite activities.
Full induction training is given.

You will also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession and just like our young people/service users you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring and support.


  • You will have a grade C or above at GCSE in English and Maths.
  • Someone who has experience working with children or young people with additional needs would be ideal but not essential as full training will be given.
