Description
The Estates Supervisor has responsibility for Hard Facilities Management (FM) services and subcontracted services at NMGH.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all buildings, plant & infrastructure are maintained safely and cost effectively within agreed statutory requirements, in accordance with NHS and the Trust's policies and procedures.


You will manage and monitor programmes of work, Compliance, Health & Safety (H&S) legislation and work with the Trust's Energy & Sustainability team to ensure efficient use of energy, power, and utilities services.

S/he will deputise for the Estates Manager/Officer in his/her absence


The main duties of the role is to be conversant in the testing, validation, certification, and registration of all the Trusts Estates Statutory Compliance requirements are undertaken by either the in-house team, PFI service providers or qualified sub-contractors to ensure the Trust complies with its responsibilities.

Act as the site Authorised Person in several disciplines following the correct level of training. Utilise professional knowledge & specialist knowledge acquired through courses & experience.

Support in maintaining registers of Compliance as required by the Trust Compliance Manager and support the Compliance Manager in periodic audits to assure performance


Review the estate maintenance programme in conjunction with the NMGH Estates Manager/Officer to ensure that buildings conform to statutory requirements and hospital policy for safety, environmental and technical quality.
