Regent House is a registered residential care home located near to the town centre of Clacton-On-Sea, providing care and support to adults with mental health needs.

The home itself can accommodate 22 residents, each with their own private room.

We are currently recruiting full time Senior Care Assistant to join our team.

The Senior role is vital part of the home, leading the care assistants during the shift to ensure all residents receive a high standard of care and support and meeting their daily needs.


Working hours are as follows:
35 hours (ability to be flexible to support with additional hours when required)

Morning shift: 07:30 - 14:30

Afternoon shift: 14:30 - 21:30

"Sleep In" occasional may be required 21:30 - 07:30

Key roles of the Senior Care Assistant:

  • Lead and organise the shift, ensuring a high standard of care is delivered to all residents of the home.
  • Administer medication at the designated times throughout that shift.
  • Promote and encourage all staff to provide residents with privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment.
  • Support the management team in ensuring all key documentation is up to date and all records are recorded correctly.
  • Having a "hands on" approach to their working day, supporting the care assistants in the daily duties where required.
  • Adhere to the homes policies and procedures.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working as a senior care assistant.
  • N.V.Q and Medication course with mandatory training
  • A proven ability to work as part of a team and be able to provide leadership and guidance.
  • Selfmotivated and flexible.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Previous experience of working in care or with Mental Health is desirable.
  • Able to support with care planning and completion of relevant documentation.
  • Right to work and currently living in the UK

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent is preferred but an opportunity to complete this will be available.
  • All mandatory training
  • Medication training

Salary and Benefits:

- £ £11.50 p/h
