Healthcare Assistant - Surgery Assist
Job Role
Applicants will be expected to have excellent administration skills, and an ability to perform efficiently in the clinic whilst providing exceptional care.
Applicants will need to demonstrate commitment to excellent teamwork with clinical colleagues and a willingness to utilise and develop clinical care pathways in the overall management of patients and assist in improving these pathways over time.
It is likely the post holder will provide responsibility for the clinical supervision directly or indirectly of non-medical staff and participate in the audit.
Responsibilities
- Assisting surgeon
- Maintain infection control
- Ensuring patients receive a gold standard of care
- Crosschecking the equipment list for the required surgery
- Medication monitoring and stock control
- Completion of surgery paperwork and patient records
As part of the onboarding process for this role, you will be required to undertake a medical surgery assisting course for HCA's and undergo complex competency-based assessments.
General Information
- Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
- Monday
- Sunday (working 5/7 days)
- Location: Across multiple Reading and Frimley locations
- Salary: PS24,000.00 per annum after sign off
