JOB TITLE:
COMPETENCE &TRAINING CONTRACT SUPPORT


Competence & Training Team are recruiting

  • Do you have experience in Assessment and Verification? This could be on Qualifications such as NVQ, SVQ, Apprenticeships or In-House organisational Standards.
  • Are you an Assessor and Verifier?
  • Are you a good communicator with the ability to adapt your communication for various levels of seniority?

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assessor assessments, internal verification and competence/ training support for client(s).
  • Manage, maintain and implement the Competence Management Service (CMS) to client(s) and across all their assets.
  • Support Petrofac Contract Manager and Focal Points with the implementation and embedding of competence across all sites included in the contract.
  • Attending periodic offshore trips to engage Assessor Teams and Management of client assets.
  • Train, Coach, mentor and support the onSite teams of Assessors.
  • Support the coaching and development of Team members in assessment and verification of best practice.
  • Development, facilitation and implementation of team standardization
  • Carry out Assessment of Assessors against the current National Occupational Standard in Assessment (SQA qualification)
  • Maintain accurate information within the electronic portal.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and identify gaps, addressing any issues.
  • Support closure of competency gaps
  • Build collaborative relationships with both the internal Management team and external Management team.
  • Adaptable practice to both onshore and offshore environments
  • Contribution to maintaining Competence and Training Management Framework and standards to support currency and best practice delivery.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


  • Workplace Assessor Qualification i.e., L&D9DI or equivalent or willing to achieve within 12 months of post.
  • Internal Verifier Qualification I.e., L&D11 or equivalent or willing to achieve within 12 months of post.
  • Good working experience of Microsoft Office tools
  • Current BOSIET & MIST or must be willing to obtain on commencement of role (this will be provided by Petrofac)
  • Knowledge and understanding of current best practices in assessment and verification.
  • Lead Auditor Qualification
  • NEBOSH qualification
  • Knowledge and experience of audit activities, scheduling, and process
  • Ability to organize tasks, priorities and have forward planning.
  • Ability to adapt approaches to ensure the service is delivered, including review and maintenance of standards to maintain awarding and approving organization standard requirements.
  • A proactive attitude and aptitude for taking on tasks.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and recognize support required by others.
  • A collaborative and inclusive approach to working with a diverse set of individuals.
  • Ability to plan own workload to meet tight schedules within key performance indicator time restraints.
  • Ability to coach and train other members of the team.
  • Working knowledge in driving KANBAN and/or other Agile approaches
  • Experience within a fastpaced environment
  • Experience of working in a matrix organization
  • Experience of working in a safety and quality focused environment
  • Experience of being autonomous in decision making in line with relevant standards and processes
  • Experience of presenting to all levels in an organization and customers organization
  • Experience of taking accountability for tasks and completion of projects
  • Experience of electronic competence management systems
  • Experience in the delivery of vocational qualifications, including Assessment and Verification Activity
