Our client is an FTSE-250 eCommerce business and globally recognized brand, which has successfully disrupted its industry through digital innovation and thought leadership.

Their digital eCommerce platforms generate up to £1million in orders per hour atpeak, with over 10m subscribers to their mobile app and multiple awards to their name.


Following a recent re-structure and several internal promotions, a unique opportunity has arisen for an Infrastructure Project Engineer (Platform Services) to join their award-winning team.


Technical Skills

  • Full Stack Infrastructure knowledge
  • Windows Server/IIS
  • DNS, DHCP
  • Microsoft SCCM / Intune / Autopilot
  • Cisco Meraki / Cisco firewalls
  • Splunk/Akamai
  • Office 365/Azure Active Directory


  • Hosting technologies

  • CDNs, Load Balancers, and WAFs
  • Ideally scripting knowledge i.e., PowerShell, Terraform, ARM

Desirable Skills

  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies
  • Exposure to Systems Automation or Infrastructure as Code.
  • Awareness of CI/CD Pipelines

Experience

  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes.
  • Familiar working in a DevOps culture.
  • Experienced in incident management and escalation processes.
  • Relevant Industry certification and/or demonstrable industry experience
  • Most have worked on large infrastructure projects and solution engineering, not just provided BAU Infrastructure support.

Responsibilities

  • Continually develop and maintain an expert understanding of systems /services and their interaction with the business.
  • Work closely with the security team to deliver and maintain security solutions.
  • Comply with all applicable Data Protection and ePrivacy legislation and report noncompliances identified to the Data Protection team.
