We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced MIG welder and fabricator to join our in house team. This role offers challenging and interesting fabrication of diverse projects primarily in steel and occasionally cast iron. The majority of the work will be constructing bespoke gates, and other associated garden and estate metalwork.The work is varied as almost no two projects are the same, there is also opportunities for creativity and problem solving.
Based in Andoversford near Cheltenham, Britannia Metalwork Services is one of the UK's leading specialists in the bespoke and professional manufacturing of estate and architectural metalwork.

This role requires someone who can help motivate, energise, organise and support their team, while meeting deadlines, troubleshooting problems, and working with initiative.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:
- Must have proven MIG welding and fabrication experience, completing tasks according to project specifications and drawings to a high standard.
- Read and interpret CAD and engineer drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and requirements for each project
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards
- Ensure the quality and integrity of welded components, adhering to industry standards and safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and objectives
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and procedures
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Work independently or with a small team of other welders to complete large and complex projects
