KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an educator who is excited by the prospect of creating innovative content for our learning programmes, delivered through DoodleMaths and DoodleEnglish.


If you have a degree in Education or equivalent and are looking to utilise your skills outside of the classroom, we invite you to apply.

This role is hybrid or office-based, with at least three days based in our office in central Bath.


You will be responsible for creating new digital content to add to our highly successful programmes: DoodleMaths, DoodleEnglish, DoodleTables and DoodleSpell.

We are looking for someone who has the required educational background but who are also excited about the new learning opportunities that AI and tech can provide for children.

You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and will have experience in creating engaging learning materials, and have empathy for the end user of your content.


You will:
Develop, write and proofread creative and innovative educational content, including explanations, introductory material and related questions.

Liaise with a wider team of education writers, project managers and designers to create engaging content.

Ensure content appeals to parents, teachers and young people through creativity and sound pedagogy.

Tailor content and style according to the age group and curriculum stage.

Keep on top of the changing educational landscape across the UK and beyond.


Understand your target audience and be committed to ensuring the content you create is delivered in a clear and kind way.

Take feedback in an open and collaborative manner.

EXPERIENCE
EssentialA qualified teacher (QTS, PGCE or equivalent) with at least 1 year teaching/teaching placements in UK schools (not TEFL).
An eye for detail and faultless spelling and grammar.
Willingness and flexibility to create content across both maths and English.
Experience using apps and other tech products to enhance teaching and learning.
Awareness of language/vocabulary used by teachers in different phases of the Early Years and primary curriculums.
Understanding of the changing school landscape and the needs/pain-points for teachers.
DesirableExperience of teaching maths to 11-16 year olds would be desirable but not essential

SALARY
Salary - £22,000 - £30,000 FTE dependent on experience

This role can be fully office-based or a hybrid of office-based to facilitate collaboration and teamwork.
Full-time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, with some flexibility in working hours.

Start date:
January 2023

Initial interviews will be held via Zoom, with second interviews being held in our Bath-based offices.
