About the role
We are looking to recruit a Depot Supervisor to join our Reading Depot.
You be a key link to the Depot by providing direct support to the depot manager and leading other team members.
Responsibilities
- Provide the appropriate depot cover in the absence of the depot manager; this includes but not limited to, all administration tasks and depot supervision.
- Ensure all instructions, tasks and targets allocated by the depot manager are adhered to and completed within the timeframe allocated.
- Ensure all vehicles are loaded / unloaded in a timely manner ensuring all work carried out complies with all H & S regulations.
- Ensure all equipment loaded onto vehicles are correctly counted and have the appropriate documentation.
- Ensure all plant and equipment complies with all H & S regulations and utilized for the designated use.
- Help with office management and organization processes.
- Track inventory of office supplies and inform the management about any shortages.
- Schedule meetings and plan various department activities and calendars.
- Answering phone calls and rerouting to the appropriate office, as necessary
- Operating and managing office equipment such as the printer, copier and shredder
- Filing all company documentation and maintaining accurate records
- Sorting and distributing company mail.
- Performing data entry tasks when needed
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Good knowledge of Health & safety regulations.
- Working knowledge of equipment and tools used.
- Outstanding leadership skills.
- Experience working as a site supervisor.
- Very good organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent time management skills, able to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks.
- Familiarity with office procedures.
- Working knowledge of office devices and processes
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent communication skills
