Capital Project Support

Purpose of the role

Support the delivery of the Capital Programme, which will contribute to achieving the vision, aims and objectives of the organisation
Collaborate with other support functions to ensure development teams receive a joinedup, responsive service
Support the Head of Project Management and Principal Project Managers in the delivery of agreed projects that form part of the Capital Programme.
Produce, communicate, manage, and update project information through all project stages including but not exclusively; schedules, reports, risk plans, change and cost measures, monthly reporting, final accounts, and forecasting.
Robustly manage all project risks, issues, opportunities, budgets, contracts, and costs throughout the life of the project and manage any change, risk, or resource pressure proactively and take active responsibility to resolve or escalate as required.
Be responsible for effective communication and engagement across a range of departments.

Experience required

Significant experience in project management in a transportation or multidisciplinary context as well as previously managing one of more capital projects.

Experienced with all stages of project management and processes including the development, implementation,and use of all the necessary controls and processes to minimise delays, additional costs or reduced delivery against project plan and business case, to ensure successful delivery
