JOB OVERVIEW
As an experienced Associate Practitioner you will work in
collaboration with Biomedical Scientists, other colleagues and
Clinical teams to perform a comprehensive range of duties that
collectively support the provision of an effective Point of Care
about delivering a high standard of service, must be reliable and
adaptable, and have excellent communication skills.

Based at The Princess Royal Hospital, you will be expected to fulfil
duties in a multidiscipline POCT service, working across multiple
sites including Hospital sites, Community Diagnostic Centres and
locations supported by the POCT team. You will primarily be working
between 09:00 and 17:30 Monday to Friday. Flexible working may be
required depending on service demands.


MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB
You will be expected to understand, organise and perform competently a
range of POCT diagnostic procedures, within clinical settings. You
will support Biomedical Scientists in the preparation, operation,
monitoring and maintenance of POCT devices, performing preventative
maintenance, minor repairs and general laboratory duties. You will be
required to prioritise your work appropriately in times of high
workload, whilst paying meticulous attention to detail. As part of
this diverse role, You will act as an update trainer for users of POCT
devices and assist in the training of new POCT and Clinical staff.

support and supervision from experienced Biomedical scientists.
