Location:

We offer a hybrid working model (UK only) where you will have the flexibility to work from home but will also be required to work from our Cambridge studio on a weekly basis.

Your Role:


  • You will be part of a small development team working on Ninja Theory's next IP.
  • You and the rest of the team will be responsible for creating fully immersive and photorealistic environments within in Unreal Engine
  • You will primarily be working on modern architectural environments with a mix of some organic exteriors but with a heavy emphasis on realism and believability.
  • You will be responsible for creating assets to an extremely high level of fidelity to push the quality of next generation game development. Attention to detail is paramount.
  • You will be expected to work with procedurally based systems to enable the small team to produce content to a very high quality, efficiently.
  • You will be involved in the full range of environment art tasks, from conception to completion.
  • You will be expected to communicate effectively throughout the studio across all other disciplines and seniorities, engage openly about your work and present to others when necessary.

Requirements:


Your Skill:


Essential:

  • You have a deep understanding of Unreal Engine
  • You have experience in creating photo realistic environments to an extremely high standard.
  • You have strong knowledge of all stages of digital content creation, including materials.
  • You have knowledge of procedurally based content creation.
  • You have a great ability to think creatively and overcome technical challenges.
  • You are a great communicator and collaborator.
  • You have very strong organisational skills.

Desirable:

  • You have some experience lighting realtime game environments.
  • You have some experience with scripting languages.

Your Experience:


Essential:

  • You have shipped at least one AAA game.
  • You have managed and mentored other team members.
  • You can work independently as well as part of a team.
  • You have experience in generating work from the ground up, including reference gathering and concepting.
  • You are experienced in profiling and optimising game content to work on current generation consoles.
