Description

The compliance department needs to provide a service that is fit to accommodate the growth of MultiPass across multi jurisdictions.

The role of Compliance Monitoring Officer - 2nd Line is a vital role within the Compliance Department, one which is key in ensuring the compliance programme is operating effectively and mitigating the risks that have been identified in various risk assessments.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide guidance and oversight to the firstline onboarding and transaction monitoring teams;
  • Conduct a testing programme across areas of the business that are impacted by the compliance and AML programmes;
  • Monitor regulations to ensure changes are understood and implemented where required;
  • Advise as to the compliance considerations relating to new products;
  • Manage the businesswide training programme;
  • Prepare and submit internal and external SAR's;
  • Deal with customer complaints in accordance with policy;
  • Work closely with senior staff within the Compliance Department to enable enhancement of the Financial Crime programme;
  • Liaison between onboarding analysts and sales. Maintain a strong relationship and provide guidance in relation to compliance criteria;


  • Quality control

  • Sample testing of client accounts to ensure adherence to policy;
  • Assist the MLRO and Head of Financial Crime in optimising the AML programme;

Requirements:

In order to be successful in this role, we would expect to see:

  • Several years working within a payments or e-money regulated firm with a focus on corporate clients;
  • Understanding of the risks that are prevalent when dealing with various corporate entity structures within the deliverable FX and payments environment;
  • Knowledge of how money flows between counterparties;
  • Detailed understanding of the Money Laundering Directive and JMLSG;
  • Confidence in dealing with different departments as required when required and presenting at board level;
  • Open to travel between London and Riga up to 6 times per year.
