Occupational Therapist Pay Rate:
£29.27 per hour (assignment rate)

Duties of the Social Services Occupational Therapist:

  • To be responsible for a caseload of complex cases, which require a high level of specialist, expertise related to major adaptations.
  • To work effectively with OT colleagues, and other professionals within and external to LB Newham in order to progress home adaptations that meet individual and carers needs, and provide an integrate service.
  • To lead as required in the induction and upskilling of OT's related to home adaptations as part of OT skills development
  • To work with and as necessary deputise for the OT /HAIL Team Manager to ensure that both teams operate within an agreed performance management, quality assurance and budgetary framework and that the highest standards of service are achieved

Requirements of the Social Services Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Recent experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent experience within social services / local authority / council
  • Registered with the HCPC
