Data Collections Associate

  • Salary: London: £46,000 to £68,900 and National: £41,800 to £62,700The team/department

Data Collections in Data and Data Strategy provides important services to the rest of the business by managing the ad hoc data collection service which supports teams across the FCA to get the data they need to effectively regulate.

You'll be joining a growing team with an ambitious and exciting roadmap, in a role with real opportunity to deliver our data and intelligence strategy.

What you will be doing (the role)- Build surveys in line with best practice, sometimes to tight deadlines to a high standard and create dashboards to enable users to obtain insights quickly

  • Build an excellent relationship with stakeholders across the business, including Technology and Transforming Data Collections
  • Maintain a close relationship with IGB Triage in order to support the governance process and decisions made by the Board
  • Provide advice on question design, branching logic, the functionality and limitations of the tool and feed into any strategic work on longer term ad hoc collections service
  • Support Data Collections roadmap and ensuring ad hoc demand is accurately reflected, managing peaks and team capacity
  • Prepare papers, summaries, communications, or lines to take for senior stakeholdersWhat you will get from the role?

  • The skills and experience you will have


  • Minimum criteria_

  • A sound understanding of the concepts related to data modelling, data management, coding, and process flow design
  • Proven experience of using advanced Excel to manipulate and present analysis to a varied audience
  • Business analysis, able to quickly document as is and to be requirements
  • Essential criteria_
  • Proactive and delivery focused, able to quickly understand technical requirements and collaborate with SMEs to develop a workable solution
  • An excellent communicator, able to build rapport, nurture business relationships and establish clear communication styles with all teams
  • Detailoriented with ability to focus on managing multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Ability to produce concise and persuasive written outputs and verbally convey any issues in an easytounderstand manner
  • Strong data analysis skills, preferably with coding experience such as SQL, HTML, Python, or JavaScript
  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and Agile methodologiesAbout the FCA
