About The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Manufacturing team in a newly created permanent position as a design engineer.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Taking a lead on all research and development work
• Take ideas from concept to design, being active in the manufacturing and installation
• Produce 2D and 3D outputs using Solidworks software
• Being responsible to day to day drawings
• Taking a project lead on new machine builds
• Maintain and liaise with existing customers as well as create new positive relationships with potential customers.
• Visiting multiple sites to gain information and to aid design of bespoke parts
• Disassembly sketch and design
• Calculations of materials and schedules

About You:


Requirements:

• Comprehensive knowledge of Solidworks Software
• Good understanding of engineering materials tools and tech
• Ability to build and sustain positive relationships
• Time management, identify problems and offer solutions.
• Driving licence.

Preferred but not essential:

• HND Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
