The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Archive team during a period of growth as an Archive Assistant.


To place into storage and retrieve from storage original documents and matter files ensuring that the electronic record of the stored material and its location are both accurate and complete.


Your key duties will be

  • Archiving, indexing and storage of closed files in accordance with the current archive process specified by the Archive Manager
  • Initiating the retrieval of closed files from archive storage on request
  • Secure destruction of timeexpired archived files
  • Placing deeds, securities, wills, EPA/LPAs, and other documents and items into secure storage and retrieval of same on request in accordance with the specified process
  • Creation of complete and accurate document records on Peppermint database, and updating with current location data
  • Investigating queries about stored files or documents
  • Moving boxes and small items around the building
  • Organising clearance of confidential shredding
  • Recycling of paper matter files for reuse when in appropriate physical condition

Skills and experience you will have:

  • High degree of efficiency, accuracy and organisation in carrying out tasks
  • Experience of Microsoft Office suite including Word and Outlook
  • Able to communicate clearly in person and in writing
  • Demonstrates a recognition of the importance of working as part of a team
  • Demonstrates a flexible attitude when performing all aspects of the role

Key competencies you will need:
