Description

Primary purpose of position

  • To provide an effective and efficient administrative support function for all divisions of the company.
  • To be fully conversant with the Sales Order Processing system such that you have the necessary skills and understanding to operate the system from order receipt to the point of final invoice.
  • Additionally, to meet and surpass minimum objectives and standards of performance.
  • To understand fully the Glenair business aims, products and services offered such that you are able to actively participate and contribute towards them. (Please refer to the "Glenair Roadmap 2023" enclosed)

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Liaising with the Internal Sales Team to facilitate the loading of customer orders.
  • Process and administration of all sales orders.
  • To ensure confirmation orders are verified thoroughly before release and determine any further action deemed necessary with regard to the objective of the task.
  • Approval and monitoring of Acceptance of Orders ensuring all data has been transferred correctly from the sales quotation.
  • Liaise with our Production Department on order amendments as appropriate.
  • General office duties.
  • To assist the Line Manager with any other duties and ad hoc project work as and when required.

Person specification

  • Good communication orally and written.
  • Office/Administration experience
  • Ability to work as a team player at all levels.
  • Educated to a good standard, GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Math's
  • Experience in the use of all Microsoft Office packages preferably Microsoft AX

Job Type:
