RSR are currently recruiting on behalf of policing client based in Hindlip for a Solution Delivery Lead to be responsible for the delivery of specific ICT projects/programme aligned to the demand on Digital Services for ICT service solutions.

This is a full time, permanent position and offers a salary of £43,254 per annum.

Main Duties:

To work on the technical delivery of projects/programme as applicable in the Solution Delivery Team, which may consist of a mix of internal and external resources, with responsibility for the endtoend scheduling, management, and delivery of technical packages of work.
Lead and manage technical resources working with design architectures.
Own and manage the agreed ICT solution delivery of assigned projects/programme and plans, using industry standard project management tools and processes.
Manage vendors, suppliers and their dependencies, to ensure projects/programme are delivered to time, schedule, quality, cost, process, performance and scope.
Ensuring that project variations are identified and avoided minimising the impact, financial or otherwise, to the project or programme of work.
Ensure appropriate and relevant financial controls are in place to make sure that budgets and costs, including variances, are tightly managed, reported and reviewed in accordance with agreed processes.
Plan the project transition in to operational service in a controlled and managed way.
Represent and promote the reputation of Digital Services at various meetings and groups, both internally and externally.
Work closely with the Solution Delivery Manager to agree/document statements of work for ICT solutions delivery, managing relationships with multiple business stakeholders.
Undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post as required.

Essential Requirements:

Educated to level 5 or equivalent in an ICT related discipline.
Programme and Project management certification or substantial experience (e.g. Prince2, MSP).
Strong technical background and exposure to a wide range of technology platforms and technical solution delivery.
Knowledge and understanding of Industry Best Practice and relevant guidelines such as ITIL v
Experience of financial control, reporting and monitoring.
Proven experience of contract design and management.
Experience of working in previous technical roles with development into solutions delivery management. Also, having worked on the supplier side would be advantageous.
Experience of leading and managing technical teams, consisting of internal, contract and supplier staff in a large complex multifaceted organisation.
