Business Development Manager Northampton
The Business Development Manager is a client-facing position which is an integral part of KPI's ongoing growth strategy.

In this role, you will be given the autonomy to grow your network of prospects and sales pipeline, with the support of an experiencedteam.

You will be assigned to a Branch to support the growth of Industrial and driving recruitment activities.


As a Business Development Manager, you will be involved in

  • Build a strong sales pipeline of potential clients with significant temporary recruitment usage
  • Identify decisionmakers and qualify leads gained from your network and the wider business
  • Actively promote KPI Recruiting through social and personal networks, also through existing clients
  • Work with Marketing to implement the sales marketing strategy
  • Lead clientfacing sales meetings, providing presentation material where appropriate
  • Keep all sales activity up to date on the Aspire database
  • Provide branch sales support to our Northampton branch
  • Build and maintain an understanding of the recruitment market
  • Liaise with the branch ensuring a smooth and professional handover of new business wins
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with clients in line with the company rate schedule

Key Skills

  • Business development or sales experience
  • Superb ability to build rapport quickly within both a telephone and facetoface environment
  • Must possess the desire to succeed
  • Have a natural ability to persistently motivate yourself
  • A great team player
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and time management
  • Driving Licence required


This is a sales focus role, however, we have a proven sales program that will support you in this role.

You will be able to build strong and long-lasting partnerships with your client and ensure that promises can be delivered in line with the KPI ethos.

Strong communication skills are essential. You do not need to have experience in Recruitment for this role, training and support will be provided.
