Site Reliability Engineer

Location:
London (hybrid remote working)


Salary:
Up to £100,000 + Very Generous Benefits Package

One of the fastest growing ecommerce organisation requires a Site Reliability Engineer to help be the glue between the companies Dev, QA and Product teams - enabling the smooth Continuous Build and Integration of new instances of systems and test environmentsfor new and existing clients.


You will design, develop, maintain, and support engineering productivity tools using GitlabCI, Terraform, Python, bash and contribute to any other matters arising within an agile Infrastructure Engineering team, with a prime focus on keeping critical productionsystems running.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with Software Development teams, Product Managers, and Business Owners to ensure smooth deployment and operation of systems.
  • Design and improve CI/CD processes and pipelines using GitlabCI targeting Linux on GCP
  • Build CI/CD pipeline configurations to orchestrate provisioning and deployment of both large and smallscale systems.
  • Automate tools to monitor system health and reliability to support business process requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
  • Communicate status and risks to the product teams.
  • Help automate and streamline operations and processes.
  • Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.

The successful Site Reliability Engineer will have:

  • Cloud experience
  • GCP, AWS or Azure etc.
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code
  • Preferably Terraform
  • CI/CD pipelines and practices
  • Docker containerisation
  • Kubernetes for orchestration experience
  • Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language
  • Bash, Python etc.
