The job in a nutshell


As a Training Advisor you'll be a key member of the Training Team, making sure that all our colleagues have the right knowledge, skills and behaviours.

Enabling them to earn more, learn more and feel like they belong at Travelodge and build further on our reputation of being a 'great place to work'.


Aligned to the South Region, you will partner with the Regional Director and People Business Partner to ensure our colleagues are set up for success in their roles.

Although you will be based in the South, you may occasionally be required to cover or support other regions which will involve travel nationwide, this will be determined by business needs.


You'll be part of a growing Talent team whose ambition is to make affordable travel for everyone by building the capability of our colleagues.

Identifying, designing and delivering inspirational products and interventions that develop the capability of our colleagues to ensure our customers have the perfect stay.


What you will be required to do:

  • Work in partnership with key stakeholders and the People Business Partners to understand any trends, training needs or support required in the region.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and the leadership teams in your region to ensure buyin to all planned learning and development activity.
  • Deliver training in a range of formats (both in person and virtually) to various audiences, from Team Members to Management levels.
  • Schedule training and update attendance in our Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Manage a number of regional training rooms and schedule logistics for training delivery (room, facilities, catering etc)
  • Coordinate scheduling of participants
  • Work collaboratively with our learning design team and course owners to ensure content is relevant and up to date
  • Collect course feedback to support the Training Manager in evaluating any learning interventions Manage communication to stakeholders and hotels within your region
  • Perform other workrelated duties as required
What we'll expect from you

  • Experience in a learning and development role doing delivery for a range of behavioural interventions
  • Excellent planning and organising skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity when needed
  • Outstanding facilitation skills that engage and motivate learners.
  • Initiative and personal drive to manage and deliver own workload without frequent supervision
  • The ability to coach our Management teams to deliver results
  • Customer focused and ability to motivate and influence others
  • Desire to challenge and build on existing practices, to positively impact the business and support the overall business strategy

You will be customer focused, dedicated, organised and have good attention to detail whilst also wanting to be part of a great team that has fun Insights accreditation would be advantageous but not essential as we would provide training.
