At Upwards Care Solutions we have the young person at heart of what we do. We provide Support services to Looked After Children at risk of being marginalised. Job Responsibilities (Not limited to)

  • Reporting directly to the Directors, you will lead in commissioning and development of the organisations integrated support system. You will also provide assurance to the Directors in the key aspects of commissioning, including performance management, policy development and the delivery of designated projects.
  • You will be central to the success of our strategic vision for the delivery of social care services across children's social care.
  • Responsible for effectively leading and managing the operational, and strategic development and delivery of all projects and activities for the organisation across the regional and local services including volunteer engagement, recruitment, support and deployment.
  • Implementing policies and procedures.
  • To proactively lead and support the organisation in developing a quality support driven, person centred workforce whose skills are continually refreshed and aligned within the operational needs of the organisation.
  • Working positively with colleagues in incorporating and fulfilling required leadership development, succession planning, mentoring and volunteering programmes.
  • To effectively run and manage budgets as required to meet current and evolving operational needs by ensuring effective resource planning.
  • Develop effective partnerships, consortia and networks with other appropriate organisations through securing collaborations.
  • Be results and performance focused and proactively lead development and delivery of appropriate and meaningful strategic, tactical and operational performance.
  • Promoting and fostering positive relationships with Local Authorities.
  • Ensuring training modules are up to date
  • An understanding of Consortium arrangements
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Understanding community engagement schemes for young people
  • Ability to network and bring new business opportunities
  • Selfstarter with ability to deliver and manage workloads.
  • Have knowledge and understating of Ofsted Supported Accommodation Regulations including Standards and Regulations including Quality standards and the Children's Act 200
  • A positive, influential and highly driven individual who thrives on bringing ideas from paper to reality
  • Team player with a positive solutionfocused approach.
  • Ability to source resources, share information and delegate workloads.

Experience required for the role:


  • A proven managerial, operational experience
  • Track record in building staff teams and high performing team cultures.
  • Partnership development and management experience
  • Experience in engaging with Commissioners, Social Workers, IRO's (Independent Reviewing Officers)
  • Understanding consortium arrangements

Location:
North West, Midlands and Yorkshire Regions.


Salary:
£50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
