Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Lead DevOps.
The Lead DevOps role is expected to provide experience to all facets of DevOps and the DevOps team, including management, leadership and mentoring.
The holder of the role must have the commercial experience to drive the transformation of DevOps within Sitekit to best of class practices and procedures - facilitating the evolution of the current state of play to a level commensurate with the developing needs of the business and encompassing the potential growth of Sitekit's operational needs.
This opportunity is exclusively for those with the right to work in the UK.Salary dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
- Operating at commercial levels as a team lead 3+ years management experience required
- Transforming a team and business to modern DevOps principles.
- Working with Development teams to evolve current operations to modern DevOps best practices.
- Filtering and controlling DevOps work loads.
- Proactively working with Product teams to maintain & improve live systems.
- Consulting with architects and customers to create efficient cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Working with testers to maintain environments for testing.
- Creating appropriate access controls and review steps for code deployment.
- Assisting in code and environment handover to support.
- Improving organisation systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Azure Developer Associate.
- Azure Administrator Associate.
- Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
Skills and Competencies
- Analysis, design and estimation (ability to analyse business problems and design suitable technical solutions)
- Agile methodologies (SCRUM)
- Scripting
- PowerShell, ARM, JAML, Terraform, Azure Bicep
- Source code control systems especially GIT
- Cloud experience 3+ years commercial operations/architecture experience with MS Azure
- CI/CD experience.
- Azure DevOps operational and administrative experience,
- GitHub operational and administrative experience,
- Defect and performance monitoring tools and techniques especially Application Insights and Log analytics.
- Documentation and technical writing experience using tools such as Visio, Adobe, UML,
- Development skills desirable especially in MS Stack (C#, SQL Server,.NET)
- Microsoft tools and environments

£50,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
