The role:

1 X 20 hrs per week, 1 x 30 hrs per week


Customer Service Support Assistants play a vital role in our Children Centres and at The Hub (formally Orford Youth Base) providing reception cover and completing administration duties and as such are the first point of contact for users to the centres.


This role requires high levels of customer focus and team-working skills, excellent telephony, keyboard and IT skills as well as the ability to prioritise your workload and manage your time effectively.

As part of the role your will be required to provide a comprehensive and responsive administration support service to front line staff and work as part of a team to support day to day operations within the centres.


The primary purpose of this post is to provide additional administrative support to the centres and also to cover for colleagues during sickness and holiday times.


About you

  • We are looking for someone who can be flexible as the role will require you to work and travel across all centres within the service, often at short notice.
  • Has experience of working within an administrative environment
  • Proven customer care skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Good organisational skills and confident to work with mínimal supervision
DBS clearance is required.


The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
