**Senior Engineer

  • Bristol**An opportunity has arisen to join a leading construction main contractor within the heart of Bristol for an exciting and prestigious project. As the Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for initiating and leading tasks and processes, taking responsibilityand being accountable where relevant and to manage all aspects of engineering on a section / project to ensure the works are delivered to meet the client's expectations.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage the setting out process including primary and secondary stations
  • Allocate Site and Assistant Engineers to specific tasks or subsections of work
  • Examine the technical aspects of Value Engineering and consult with wider team
  • Write proposals and obtain approval of measures for correcting inaccurate/defective work
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers to construct the works safely
  • Anticipate risks of Environmental damage and formulate prevent strategies
  • Ensure that risk assessments and method statements are being produced / approved and ensure they are being followed
  • Manage all engineering activities related to their section of works
  • Will clearly and effectively delegate works amongst the engineering team to suit cap
  • Manage site reporting such as record sheets, site instructions etc
  • Understanding and implementation of BIM and BIM Level 2 processes including; the value, benefits and investment

Skills:


  • Relevant construction related degree


  • CSCS

  • Managers Card
  • First Aid at work desirable
  • Relevant driving licence
