Senior Broker / Account Handler - Commercial


Position Overview:

As a Senior Broker specializing in Commercial Insurance at arguably the UK's Leading Independent Insurance Broker, you will be a key driver in delivering tailored insurance solutions to businesses across diverse industries.

Leveraging your extensive knowledge of commercial insurance products, risk management, and client engagement, you will play a pivotal role in growing our commercial insurance portfolio and ensuring our clients' businesses are protected against potential risks.


Responsibilities:


Client Relationship Management:


  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with existing commercial clients, understanding their unique insurance needs and business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice, addressing inquiries, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Insurance Advisory and Risk Assessment:


  • Utilize your indepth understanding of commercial insurance products and risk management principles to assess clients' risk profiles.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive insurance strategies that align with their business goals and risk tolerance.

Tailored Insurance Solutions:


  • Design and propose customized insurance solutions that meet the specific needs of clients' businesses, including property, manufacturing, retail, wholesale, cyber, construction, engineering and officers (D&O), and more.
  • Evaluate and negotiate coverage terms and premiums with underwriters to secure the most advantageous terms for clients.

New Business Development:


  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the commercial insurance client base through targeted prospecting, networking, and relationshipbuilding activities.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of compelling insurance proposals to potential clients, highlighting the value of our specialized services.

Market and Industry Expertise:


  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes impacting the commercial insurance landscape.
  • Share insights and updates with clients and internal teams to facilitate informed decisionmaking.

Mentorship and Collaboration:


  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior brokers, sharing your expertise and supporting their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, such as claims and risk management, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.

Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial insurance brokerage, with a proven track record of success in client management and business development.
  • Experience dealing with corporate clients paying premiums up to and beyond £100k.
  • Extensive knowledge of various commercial insurance lines, including property, manufacturing, retail, wholesale, cyber, construction, engineering and officers (D&O), and more.
  • Strong negotiation skills, analytical abilities, and risk assessment expertise.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) certification or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in insurance software and tools for policy management and analysis.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, resultsoriented environment.

Salary:
£40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
