All about the role


As a Product Designer within the Customer pillar, you'll be part of a UX team looking after the apps and websites our customers use to order their food globally.


You'll work with an empowered cross functional team that prioritises using research and data to help understand the problem space, before moving through the design process to deliver engaging and user-friendly solutions.

We want to discover what our users will love as soon as we can.

We like to explore user problems in-depth and we like to speak with users regularly, to explore what we are working on and help us understand their needs.


You'll be part of a passionate UX team of 80+ UX designers, UI designers, product designers, service designers, researchers and writers across 7 countries.


As part of this varied role, we're counting on you to:

  • Focus on key user problems and come up with innovative solutions to those problems.
  • Quickly yet thoroughly create process flows, user journeys, wireframes, visual design mockups and prototypes as needed to effectively conceptualise and communicate detailed interaction behaviours
  • Work across the entire product lifecycle from concept to delivery; creating documentation, wireframes, hi
- & lo-fi prototypes and pixel perfect UI.

  • Collaborate with engineering & product management to build experiences and present your work to stakeholders
  • Collaborate on research alongside UX researchers, and conduct usability studies.

Can you deliver

Here's what we're looking for from you:

Innovative solutions - The Product Designer focuses on key user problems and comes up with innovative solutions while empowering consumers to love their takeaway experience. You own every aspect of the product's design, from solving the core user problem to shipping a well-tested and pixel perfect UI.


Create prototypes - The Product Designer works across the entire product lifecycle from concept to delivery and will create documentation, wireframes, prototypes and pixel perfect UI. The Product Designer creates hi
- and lo-fi prototypes that can be validated with users, and is able to communicate the detail of these interacts to developers.


Research - The Product Designer conducts research and usability studies in conjunction with UX researchers.


Data-Driven - The Product Designer uses qualitative and quantitative data to influence their work. In conjunction with the Product manager you will measure and monitor performance of the products you work on.


Communicate - The Product Designer transparently communicates on their progress and discusses ideas with their cross-functional team. You can can present well both within the Design team and to non-creative stakeholders.


Teamwork - The Product Designer takes a collaborative approach and fosters strong working relationships with their team, and with people in the wider JE team.


Key
Ingredients:


  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an UX/UI design role.
  • Experience working in agile/sprintbased environments.
  • Proven experience in regard to collaboration/ projects with product, research and tech teams.
  • Experience designing UIs for both one app platform (iOS or Android) and responsive web.
  • Experience working with and contributing to design systems and component libraries.
  • High fidelity prototyping skills (Figma, Axure etc.).
  • Comfortable presenting to larger audiences and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with workshop facilitation and design sprints.
  • Ability to take ownership, creatively solve problems, and proactively contribute to the objectives of the business.
