Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Welder to join our client in Gillingham, Dorset.

Working Monday to Friday 2pm - 10pm and paying £13.35 per hour, this role is a long-term position which has the potential lead to permanent employment.


General duties include:

  • Welding, grinding and finishing fittings to a high standard to achieve the Quality of Surface finish as specified by the Company, or as indicated by shift Charge Hand/Supervisor or Manager
  • Reworking of reject fittings to the above standards
  • Any other welding requirements (fabrication work etc.)

Other duties may include:

  • Operating metalworking equipment, both automated and manual equipment
  • Punch machines
  • Power press/brake press
  • Fold equipment
  • Roll form equipment
  • Clinch tooling
  • Riveting equipment crane/hoist equipment
