Description

Laboratory Technician (Floorcoverings) required for a leading technical and specialist organisation based in Kettering, Northamptonshire. This well-established and respected company provide accredited laboratory testing services to a rangeof industry sectors within the UK and worldwide.


The
Technician will be based in a department specializing in the testing of Furniture and Floorcoverings and will predominantly involve the testing of different types of floorcoverings against International, European and British Standards.


The role will involve:


  • Operating test equipment and recording results on paper or electronically
  • Preparing test samples prior to testing
  • Maintaining sample storage
  • Maintaining tidiness of the test areas
  • GCSEs including Maths, English and Science minimum grade C
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Highly organised and enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to accurately follow test procedures and methods
  • Good eye for detail and methodical when recording information
  • Excellent time management skills and a flexible approach to respond to changing deadlines and priorities
