£ £185774 PA or £ £12.31 per hour
Opportunity for additional hours if wanted

  • The school caters for students aged 11 to 19 who have severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple disabilities and some have additional complex behaviours. The successful applicants will be part of a school team working with teaching staff and Level 2 and 3 Teaching Assistants in providing guidance, support and education for pupils. This may include, support in lessons, personal care, therapy and communication programmes within both small group and individual situations. Although these posts will initially start in one department all applicants should be willing to work with any class throughout the school.
  • We are seeking to employ positive, enthusiastic people whose personal attributes will contribute to a team of staff fully committed to 'going the extra mile' for our pupils' needs. It is essential that the successful applicants will have experience
- in either a paid, voluntary or in a personal capacity

- to demonstrate:

  • 1) Performing a caring/supportive role.
  • 2) The physical ability to continue to support secondary aged pupils through periods of Challenging Behaviour strictly following the principles and procedures of the school's training programme (which prioritises avoidance of this need).
  • 3) Successful experience of team work.
