The Procurement department at Airedale General Hospital is part of AGH Solutions LTD, a wholly owned subsidiary of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
The Procurement team pride themselves on providing excellent customer service to their customers and we aspire to be the best we can be, assisting clinical areas in providing the best clinical care to patients and users within the hospital and community.
You will have good communication skills, be computer literate on basic software systems such as Microsoft Office.
Your main responsibilities will be working in the Purchasing Team in the delivery of an optimally cost-effective service, complete with on target savings delivery in the context of the level of organisational change underway, all the while enhancing and developing customer relationships.

Providing a high-quality professional Procurement service to Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust and other partners ensuring compliance with legislation, national and local policies.
Promoting across both Trust Boards, supports the Senior Buyer with all strategic procurement issues with a view to maximising the savings potential across the patch with more efficient and effective purchasing arrangements with a contribution to both Trust's non-pay expenditure.
- Increasing purchasing coverage to all key areas of non-pay spend
- Working with Managers/Budget Holders in the identification of savings opportunities monitoring and reporting progress as required.
- Promoting the strategic direction of the purchasing team by attendance and participation in servicewide key working groups.
Supports the Senior Buyer by focussing effort towards reducing clinical risk by developing future product standardisation and adopting formal category management approach with purchasing expertise over specialist commodity knowledge.
Supports the Senior Buyer to manage a range of healthcare related procurement activity increasing procurement influence, securing recurring financial savings by examining the non-traditional areas of non-pay spend which have been traditionally assessed as being uninfluenceable spend.
