Overview:
The role of Machine Setter will be considered a Senior Operative working closely with the Engineering/Production Manager and assisting in the tool changing and machine setup operations.
Hours of Work:
Shift A Sunday & Monday
- 04:00 16:00
- 14:00 22:00
- 04:00 12:00
- 04:00 16:00

Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance, using SWPs to carry out all tasks
- The ability to work safely & unsupervised to deliver allocated work on a shiftbyshift basis
- Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and SWPs.
- Assembly & effective set up of key production equipment whilst retaining records of optimum settings to maximize efficiency.
- Follow Hard Plastic & Glass audit nonconformances to effect repairs to damaged items.
- Support team leaders in rectifying minor issues on the line
- Report all material usages to engineering procurement to ensure spares supply is maintained.
Main Duties:
- Control of tools and fixings such as screws, clips, screw drivers, spanners & handtools
- Toolbox maintenance and inventory to be maintained to be compliant with audit criteria
- Routine inspection of seals / blades / sealing heads and replacing as required.
- Support engineering on changeovers whilst maintaining high levels of safety.
- Build positive relationships with colleagues, Team Leaders, Room Leaders and Managers, within the business, offering support within your team, working positively towards the success of the team and generally being a positive force within the team.
- Cooperate and support colleagues and management, demonstrating the ability to contribute to the team atmosphere through hard work, calmness, tolerance and consistency
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment that supports teamwork and engagement on team performance.
- Full compliance and strict adherence to all Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality Standards laid out in departmental and site policies and procedures.

- Previous experience in a mechanical environment desirable
