This is an excellent opportunity to join the Cardiology department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS trust.


This is a substantive appointment, based at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage but with clinical outpatient activity at other sites and cath lab sessions at the Royal Brompton Hospital.


The Lister Hospital enjoys a unique geographical location close to London and Cambridge and the Trust has a reputation for our commitment to the highest standards of care, but also for our friendly and supportive approach.


The successful applicant will be expected to be actively involved in the arrythmia service at East and North Herts NHS Trust, including outpatient clinics and cath lab sessions.

The postholder will have arrhythmia cath lab sessions at the Royal Brompton Hospital.

They will also contribute towards the general cardiology service at the Lister, including participation in the Cardiologist of the week rota which includes weekend cardiology ward rounds.

Contribute towards the delivery and development of the arrhythmia service at East & North Herts NHS Trust including outpatient clinics and cath lab sessions.

There is also a contribution to general cardiology as part of the cardiologist of the week rota.

A strong commitment to the training and education of trainees and other staff members is also expected.


Contribute towards the arrythmia service at the Royal Brompton Hospital, including cath lab sessions and being part of the electrophysiologist of the week rota.


  • Maintenance of highquality patient centred care.
  • Shared responsibility for the daytoday management of the service and
participation in strategic planning

  • Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service
  • Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate
clinical governance activity

  • Active participation in continuing medical education
