Main accountabilities

  • Day to day allocation and coordination of flights as per skills required, ensuring disruption is considered.
  • Customer liaison and dissemination of information regarding arriving and departing of flights.
  • Ensure all airline operational requirements are met such as requesting flight plans, movement/ delay messages are sent, airline systems are updated and referred to and the monitoring progress of live flights is undertaken.
  • Manage the recording and billing for Airline Customers
  • RSMS.
  • Ensure all flight files are checked and compiled properly.
  • Involvement in staff development reviews and training.
  • Ensure any delays incurred by the Company and occurrences are reported to the Operations Manager.
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Monitor uniform standards.
  • Reporting of sickness absence.
  • Ensure any station delay is discussed with the relevant Manager before sending departure movements.
  • Ensure all changes to the daily mayfly and the aircraft allocations are communicated and updated in the appropriate networks.
  • Liaise with Airline Customers, Airport Authorities and Third Parties.
  • Ensure appropriate and accurate reporting of all accidents and incidents incurred whilst on shift.
  • Be familiar with all Company and Airline Ground Handling Manuals.
  • Ensure all staff fully comply with Company Safety & Security Policies and Standards.
  • Delegation of planning and office duties to Dispatchers.
  • Ensure safety is never comprised whilst fully complying with The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and Revisions.
  • Any other reasonable duty as requested.
  • Thorough knowledge of dispatch and weight and balance

  • Ability to perform in a pressured environment and work to tight deadlines

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of DfT Regulations, Health & Safety at Work Act and other compliances required

  • Knowledge of RSMS system

  • Must be proactive and forward thinking.
  • Have exceptional communication skills, be driven and selfmotivated
  • Must have at least 6 months experience working as a qualified dispatcher and load controller

  • Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.
  • Engage with MORSE and follow our code principles.
