Casual - Student Immigration Team Administrators

Rate of pay:
£11.09 per hour, plus 12.07% accrued holiday per total value
Working Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week
Duration of contract: from 3rd July to 31st October 2023- The Student Immigration Team are responsible for the provision of immigration advice to students. In addition, they ensure that the University fulfils its reporting duties under the condition of our Home Office sponsor licence.- The team are looking for Casual Administrators who can assist with administrative duties relating to start of term activities. No prior immigration knowledge is needed. Full training will be given to relevant to the role.- To undertake this job appointees will need to meet Home Office accreditation requirements and therefore need to be UK or Irish nationals or nationals of an EEA state or Switzerland with EU pre-settled or settled status under the EU Settlement scheme or be a Third Country national with current Indefinite Leave to Enter or Remain.


Main duties & responsibilities:


  • Process Biometric Residency Permits (BRPs) in accordance with Home Office guidance.
  • Data entry into the student system.
  • Assisting with the distribution of student and dependant (BRPs).
  • Checking student data and information and providing remedial work for missing or incorrect data.

Skills/Qualifications Required:


  • Previous experience of administration, data entry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office package
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Previous experience of Quercus (the University's student system) would be beneficial
