Procurement Administrator
Location - Hook, Hampshire. Hybrid with 3 days in the office
Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours will need to be slightly flexible to ensure coverage from 8am to 6pm between the team
£24,000 - £28,000 (dependent on experience)

Supporting the business to buy effectively and pay suppliers in a timely manner is a key priority for Serco.

To facilitate this Serco has made a key decision to restructure the Purchase to Pay team to improve the service given to the business.

A key part of this decision is to set up a new Procurement Helpdesk in the UK to support the UK and Middle East business.

This team will provide exceptional support to the business, ensuring the business is able to buy effectively and suppliers are paid in a timely manner.

Serco is excited to introduce a fantastic opportunity to join our brand-new Procurement Helpdesk Team as a Procurement Administrator. This role will play a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional buying experience for Serco.

You'll work collaboratively with the buying community, provide valuable support and education and ensure that purchases are made efficiently and effectively through the right channels and with the right suppliers.


As part of this you'll:

Provide support, advice and education to the buying community to enhance the buying experience
Ensure purchases are made through appropriate buying channels with the right suppliers and terms
Monitor purchase transaction flows, identifying and resolving potential or actual issues
Assist with supplier on-boarding, process MyPurchasing Cards, provide data management and manage vendor master data
Perform end-user training and education on Serco buying tools/processes


What you'll need to do the role:
Demonstrable experience of working in a Procurement Operations, Finance or Customer Service environment with high transaction volumes
Ability to work methodically and following strict processes and guidelines
Strong attention to detail; especially when reviewing data in multiple formats
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with good communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and process a high workload efficiently to produce quality deliverables within required service levels
Experience of engaging and working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
