Salary/Rate
Very Competitive depending on qualifications and experience


Shift Pattern
45 hours per week

5 days a week out of - some weekend work may be required therefore flexibility will be required

At David Wood Baking we have over 20 years' experience in the bakery business, and if one thing is clear about our company it's that we're passionate about baking.


We currently produce a range of chilled & frozen ready meals and 'bake off' craft bakery products encompassing Savoury Pastry, Sweet Pastry, Bread, Morning Goods and Confectionery products from eight cutting-edge bakeries around the UK.

Product development is our heartbeat and we work closely with our customers to develop products that combine specific requirements and imaginative flair.

Working with key partners we have already developed a number of new exciting and award-winning products that continue to attract and delight consumers.


On top of this we're always on the look out for new and innovative ways to improve the way we do what we do best - bake.


Due to on-going expansion a highly motivated and decisive supply chain coordinator is required to join our team at Spalding.

You will be a committed and ambitious individual who is seeking to progress your career within the food industry.


Roles & responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Plan the manufacturing business units at the optimal efficiencies that maximises profitability while still maintaining the company KPI's in cost, quality, service and Innovation.
  • This will require customer contact dealing with daily order request, liaison with senior management regarding operational issues, customer issues, and launches/delisting of products.
  • Take responsibility and accountability for the supply of material to the factory, ensuring that Procedures, Systems and Personnel are utilised and maximised to ensure smooth and efficient operation on a shift to shift basis.
  • You must be computer literate, with a very good understanding of Excel and Sage (using and creating spread sheets with an understanding of formulas), plus Word, E-Mail, etc.


Ideally you will be an existing supply chain coordinator from within the food industry you will be conversant in working to short lead times and in a challenging environment.

An excellent team player who is able to communicate effectively across all levels you will also have excellent attention to detail and be flexible in your approach.

Excellent Excel skills are a must.


Required Skills:


  • PC Literate
  • Word, Excel, Sage, Data Entry.
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisation skills.
  • Accurate, numerate with good attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • A strong team player.
