Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in lanthanide coordination chemistry and spectroscopy, supervised by Professor Stephen Faulkner. Developing new approaches to exploiting the coordination chemistry and spectroscopy of the f-elements.

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will be responsible for the design, synthesis, and initial
_in vitro_ evaluation of metal complexes as chemical probes of biological systems using NMR and luminescence methods. They will also assist in the day to day running of Prof. Faulkner's research group.

Applicants must hold a PhD in synthetic chemistry (or have submitted prior to starting the position). You will design, synthesise, explore
_in vitro_ evaluation of metal complexes as chemical probes of the biological systems using NMR and luminescence methods. You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. The post will require small-scale project management to co-ordinate multiple aspects of the project to meet deadlines.

This is a full-time position, available from September 2023 for up to five years.

The post will be based primarily in the Chemistry Research Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TA.
