About Us
Haywood and Padgett are a well-established family run bakery based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

Our bakery products are sold in most of the major UK supermarkets as well as being exported to Europe, America, and East Asia.

Due to expansion and growth, we seek an additional packing operative, for an immediate start. We will train you, support, and coach you, helping you to be the very best, you can be.


Salary
£11.86 per hour, plus over time at time and a half

Hours
3 on 3 off shifts rotating days and nights, 12 hour shifts 7-7, average hours per week 40.25


Daily duties - (pulled from the full job description)

  • Packaging bakery products, displaying the correct, legible coding and labelling
  • Placing empty cartons on the production line to be filled with baked products
  • Operating the packing control panel, which controls the conveyor belts/carousel

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience of working within a food or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Similar job experience preferred but not essential
  • Level 2 food hygiene certificate preferred
  • Basic understanding of maths and English
