Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week.

We are looking for a Senior Pensions Assistant to join our Pensions Team.

The post holder will be part of the Pensions Team within the HR Service Centre's Operations Team.

The Pensions Team deals with transactional and administrative processing, on behalf the RMBC HR Shared Service provision for it's internal and external customers, in respect of:
Teachers Pensions, Local Government Pension Scheme, and the NHS Pension scheme.


This is a permanent position to facilitate support for the Teachers Pensions Monthly Contributions Reconciliation Process, which is a combined process for the recording of Teachers Service and Contributions Paid.

The successful applicant will have primary responsibility for ensuring that the data files submitted are accurate, and are processed in line with the prescribed deadlines, which are set by Teachers Pensions.

Further to this, you will take ownership of any queries and errors which may arise from the process.

You will also be required to support business as usual within the Team in respect of the overall Pensions administration function.


Applicants will have experience of working in a Pensions environment and have intermediate / advanced skills in standard Microsoft Office packages, particularly in Excel.

They will also need experience of working methodically, accurately and can demonstrate being organised in day to day work activities and being able to prioritise own workloads and that of others.

The applicant will also need experience of resolving complex queries, analysing problems and information to arrive at sensible solutions.
