Description

We are looking for a new member of the nursery team to join our vibrant, caring team of early years professionals.

The role would suit individuals with a passion for working with babies.

The post holder will ensure that all children attending the setting receive high quality care, are kept safe, and receive rich and stimulating play experiences that meet their individual needs.

Some of your responsibilities as an Early Years Practitioner/Assistant will include:

Ensuring the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
Planning, preparing and reviewing the curriculum with the team in your room in line with the EYFS
Taking on the role of 'Key Worker'
Following and implementing all the policies and procedures set out by the setting
Undertaking further relevant training.

Your skills and experience will include:

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
An understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace
A good or some knowledge of safeguarding procedures
A sound or some knowledge of child development for children from birth to five years
A sound or some understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
An understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities.

You must have the following qualifications, training & experience:

Childcare and Education qualification equivalent to NVQ level 2 or
Experience of working with children under 2.

All applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Disclosure (expense met by employer)

Salary:
£9.50 per hour
