What you'll do at Elekta
The role will entail the following responsibilities:
- Order book management_
- Active management of purchase orders and distribution orders from product supply centers or suppliers to the point of delivery.
- Active management of manufacturing orders
- Proactive expediting of requirements to maximize stock availability of key material requirements
- Generate & update daily/weekly reporting & identify trends requiring action.
- Communicate and escalate supply risk to minimize risks to Linac build plans
- Accurately compose and publish key performance metrics for a global audience.
- Supplier Management_
- Time resolution of all invoice queries.
- Acts as supplier lead for product availability at global distribution centers for all imported goods within the area of responsibility.
- Fully responsible for ensuring the correct stock requirements are conveyed to relevant suppliers at the product level, taking due consideration of lead time and other factors (shutdowns, national holidays, etc.)
- Communicate a forward plan to minimize disruptions to future supply.
- Work with the existing supply base to improve delivery accuracy versus lead time.
- Ensure customer service levels are met for daily customer orders, alongside logistics & customer service levels.
- Ensure the supply chain is able to cope with unforeseen demand peaks for service parts.
- Purchasing & Planning_
- Work closely with procurement and suppliers to ensure ontime delivery of material.
- Reduce and maintain inventory levels for our key product supply centres.
- Raise and manage all purchase orders for key sites including Netherlands, UK and China manufacturing and commercial centres.
- Escalate any supplier issues and actively work with the buyer to resolve them.
- Inventory Control & Management_
- Inventory and obsolescence management.
- NON-FRU request management and requisition.
- Quarantine Inventory Management
- Engineering Change Management & Process Control_
- Maintaining all designated process maps, work instructions and documents relevant to the job.
- Data review and data integrity maintenance and actively update and maintain master data.
- Previous experience in a similar position within a continuous improvement environment.
- Be able to work effectively with high levels of autonomy
- Analytical approach to work & experience with identifying areas for improvement.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Material Requirement Planning (ERP) and Supply Chain Planning systems.
- Competencies with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Power Point etc)
- Have excellent communication skills
- Results oriented and selfdirected individual with the ability to work independently.
- Experience in supply planning, material planning or purchase order management
- Have experience or interest in managing suppliers.
- Degree in the following fields is preferred: Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Management Science or Operational Research or equivalent experience.
- Have an excellent understanding of supply chain
- Familiarity with production planning or manufacturing planning.
- Have excellent relationship management & influencing.
