Payroll Advisor - Remote


As a Temporary Payroll Advisor at Livi you will support our colleagues across the business with pay related queries whilst helping our Payroll Manager run processes for the company.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager and part of the wider Global HR team, you will be working with colleagues across the business to ensure we have the relevant information we need so that our people are paid correctly, on time and get first class support where needed.

This vacancy is on a remote, full-time temporary basis for a duration of 3-6 months with the potential of extension.


Your Key Responsibilities:


  • Be the first point of contact for all our payroll queries, explaining in easy to understand ways, the queries regarding tax and benefits and other pay related queries, giving a great service to our colleagues ensuring that they know they are our priority. Really understanding what is driving our queries and what knowledge we can provide to our teams to reduce them, identify efficiencies and new ways of working.
  • Responsible for collating the sickness for the month, checking entitlement and Fit Notes, calculating Company sick pay.
  • Ensuring we have all relevant documents for new starters, updating our HRIS system with corresponding data.
  • You'll be liaising with people across the business to identify information that still needs to be provided or may need amending.
  • Keep up to date with all changes that need to be made to personal information and job details ensuring that these are passed to our payroll bureau.
  • You'll have a good eye for detail and will be able to assist with all checks and reconciliations of the payroll before it is submitted to the bureau for the payslips to be issued.
  • You will work closely with all departments, sharing knowledge to constantly improve the service we give to our colleagues and that we are compliant with all our processes and assist the Senior Payroll Advisor and Manager with implementing best payroll practices and procedures.

Skills

  • Strong payroll experience (hourly pay desirable)
  • Strong spreadsheet skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly and with ease.
  • Knowledge and experience of payroll legislation, pension, processing of starters and leavers pay, AOE's, DEA's, SSP, SMP, SPP and assisting the Senior Payroll Advisor where necessary.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written. An approachable and calm demeanour.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to spot errors and think outside the box.
