    We are actively seeking professionals with a passion for freight forwarding and aviation shipping to join our team as Freight Forwarders near Manchester.

    About the Role

    Our client is a market-leader in the shipping industry with offices across the globe. As a Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for assisting in finding logistics solutions for large industrial, retail, and FMCG customers.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage freight import and export bookings, including pricing, quotations, end-to-end shipping, and customs documentation.
    • Prepare documents of operation and transportation, such as booking, BL, pre-advices, and loading confirmation.
    • Nominate carriers, hauliers, shipping lines, airlines, and GSAs based on rates, OTIF value, and customer requirements under various INCOTerms.
    • Raise additional customs documentation to ensure freight movement between countries (ISF, COO, clearance documentation, etc).
    • Analyze customer rates on route guidance while monitoring allocations and operational efficiency.
    • Develop relationships to provide high-level customer service with knowledge of clients' business requirements.

    The Ideal Candidate

    The successful candidate will have an extensive background in freight forwarding, covering both import and export. The ideal Freight Forwarder should possess the following skills and experience:

    • A minimum of 2 years' experience in freight forwarding, either air, sea, or road freight.
    • Experience in pricing, quotation, and planning customer deliveries across road, air, and sea freight.
