Production Assistants or Zund Operators

Full time Permanent roles

Mon-Fri during office hours. Site based

Burgess Hill. Free parking on site and nearby - 15 min walk from the nearest mainline railway station.

Salary - Production Assistants £19700 per year plus very good company benefits. No experience required - full training given.

Salary - Zund Operators £21700 per year plus very good company benefits. Must have Zund vinyl cutting system experience for this role

We are delighted to be working alongside our highly though of and reputable client as they seek to recruit additional permanent full time production assistants and Zund Operators to join their friendly.

The role:

Production assistants are responsible for timely, accurate production of components to the required standards.

They will work closely with the Production Team leader/ Production Supervisor to maintain production schedules and ensure production output satisfiesclient specifications and guidelines as well as the company's own exacting standards.

After the induction period is completed you will progress through Production, with training in the cutting sealing and finishing processes, as well as involvement in the design function as part of the role.

Responsibilities and duties:

Achieve the Production Schedule as directed by Team Leader / Production Supervisor

Accurate picking, collating and packing to required standards ready for dispatch

Maintain company Quality control standards

Minimise wastage and rework at all stages of production / off-cut usage

Accurately record data for material usage

Following documented client preferences through production process and alerting Team Leader / Production Supervisor to any discrepancies or errors as early as possible

Packing and labelling items for dispatch

Feedback on design and production improvements at all stages

Maintaining a clean, tidy, organised and safe workshop and work area at all times

Ensure all materials are stored carefully to avoid damage or injury

Assisting other Production Operatives and team Leader as instructed and directed by the Supervisor

Responsible for personal health and safety, i.e., lifting, using scalpels and other equipment; full training will be given

If you have experience of using the Zund vinyl cutting system then you will be eligible for a higher salary of £21700 per year plus good company benefits
