Primary Learning Support Assistant

LSA required at a primary school in Cottenham, Cambridgeshire - Immediate start on a long-term basis - KS1 & KS2 - £90/£95 per day based on experience.

Are you passionate about helping children with special educational needs and have experience as a Teaching Assistant? If yes, we have fantastic opportunities available in local primary schools in and around Cottenham that are currently looking for Learning Support Assistants to join their welcoming schools.

Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - located in and around Cottenham, Cambridgeshire

Experience working with students who have autism and other educational needs required

Long term role starting immediately - Potential to become a permanent post

Salary based on skills and experience between £90/£95 per day

As a member of a team of professionals and teachers, you will play a key role in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment for all pupils.

Working closely with the SENCO and teachers, you will ensure that the children you support receive the best possible education and assistance to achieve their full potential.

The key requirements for this role are:

Previous exposure to working with children or students who have special educational needs (SEN), ideally in a school setting
A kind, understanding, and constructive approach when supporting students with SEN, including managing difficult behaviours and emotional selfregulation
Familiarity with common SEN conditions like autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, and the capacity to utilise suitable support techniques
Proficiency in adapting to new circumstances and being adaptable to the evolving demands of students and the school environment
