My client, a leading Property Firm is looking for a Business Analyst to join their expanding team. The company has recently acquired a number of new businesses that will increase the revenue for the group function.

As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for the management of the Business Rates portfolio for the organisation; including dealing with invoices, Rates demands from councils, valuation notices, communications with external consultants and determininga site-specific budget for Business Rates.

Analysing all rates invoices, property valuations to determine the accurate accounting treatment
Reviewing upcoming empty units and managing EPR costs to minimise expenses
Liaise with and update various Councils on changes which affect our liabilities with Business rates, raising queries/issues relating to our accounts where necessary.
Processing all payments of Business Rates demands due to the Council for various site
Reconciliation of business rates costs
Review the Rateable Value of all elements of the portfolio regularly
Review spend for the Budget process
Target savings in business rates through mitigation procedures
Being the point of contact for all business rates queries, both internal and external.
Supporting the Head of FP&A, Financial Controller and the Property Director
Any other tasks which the company may reasonably request from time to time.
