Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in home care environments. This position requires communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.
- Follow individual care plans and contribute to the development of these plans as necessary.
- Document client progress and any changes in condition accurately and promptly.
- Drive to clients' homes or care facilities as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- IT skills for documentation purposes and effective communication within the team are advantageous.
- A full driving licence is preferred for travel between client locations.
- A genuine passion for providing compassionate care and support to individuals in need.
