Description

A vacancy has arisen within CCU at the Horton Hospital for a motivated individual/s who enjoys working in a challenging and busy environment providing a comprehensive administrative service.


The applicant must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deal with a diverse range of people in a sensitive and confidential manner.

Good organisational and IT skills are essential and experience of EPR (electronic patient records) would be an advantage.


Two posts:


Post 1:
Monday to Friday 3.30pm to 7.30pm (20 hours per week)


Post 2:
Saturday and Sunday 8.30am to 2.30pm (12 hours per week)


To provide comprehensive and confidential administrative and clerical support to the ward team in accordance with the departmental and trust standards.

To keep a well organised ward and ensure all relevant systems and processes are kept up to date to ensure smooth patient care from admission to discharge.

To provide support and guidance to all colleagues internally and externally in a professional and informed manner.


The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

Criteria


Essential:


Education - Good general level of education, GCSE or equivalent in English, Good I.T skills, NHS experience of experience in customer service environment, Attention to detail, Excellent Communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, excellent keyboard skills, ability to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines, Good interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively under pressure, able to work without supervision, willingness to attend further training as required, flexibility in approach to work and the changing needs of the service.


Desirable:

Education - Recognised I.T qualification
